Here are pictures of the Existe en Ciel circus solo, performed by acrobat, dancer and comedian Théo Touvet. The title of the show is a pun suggesting that something exists up in the sky, while sounding like the word “existential”.

Show your moves
MiscellaneaHere’s another and final, short peek at my shootings during the Paris 2018 Gay games, this time with urban dancing and wrestling.
Everybody dances
MiscellaneaHere are some shots of the dance gala of the Gay games 10, held in Paris from August 4th to 12th. Many thanks to the organizers for a lovely event !
Techno parade
MiscellaneaSince 1998, the Techno parade brings together lovers of electronic music and heavy beats for a dancing stroll through the streets of Paris. The pictures were taken at the end of the march, around Nation plaza, as the party was winding down (and before it started over again in night clubs).
World wrestling championships 2017
MiscellaneaI attended day 5 of the UWW world championships 2017 that took place in Paris. The freestyle wrestling was great fun and quite impressive to watch. As for photography, I was in the public (i.e. not in the press & photographers box) and material that could be taken in the arena was quite limited. Thus, no portrait or real highlights of wrestling moves, I stuck to atmospheric, ambient shots.
Ganesha celebration
MiscellaneaThis Sunday, the Indian community of Paris held a procession through the streets in honor of Ganesha. As usual, Indian themes are very photogenic, and this was no exception. I even got a picture I’m quite happy with !
Capoeira by the Seine
MiscellaneaIt’s amazing how much talent you can discover simply by looking around you, in the streets, particularly in cities like Paris. It is a commonplace to say so, but photography increases your level of awareness… It pushes you to be more outgoing, and with a bit of luck, you’ll find someone willing to play your game.
It’s what happened to me last Thursday. I was definitely privileged to stumble on this capoeira dancer in a park. I could gush with superlatives, but just look at the picture, you should get my point. I still have difficulties doing exactly what I want when trying to capture movement, but this experience was definitely enriching.
Special thanks to Christophe.
