This Sunday, the Indian community of Paris held a procession through the streets in honor of Ganesha. As usual, Indian themes are very photogenic, and this was no exception. I even got a picture I’m quite happy with !
I’m becoming accustomed to the difficulties of shooting in crowds with moving subjects : no time to frame, and a near impossibility to have a shot clear of unwanted, unexpected intrusions. You’ll see that many of my pictures below are bitten on the edges by heads or figures. Ultimately, I found it interesting to keep some of these ; they’re part of the composition, they illustrate the reality of the crowd and make the pictures more lively.
