During summer 2022 France got its first edition of RuPaul’s drag race, hosted by former contestant of the original program, Nicky Doll. The performers are currently on a tour called Légendaire cabaret club.
Techno Parade 2019Miscellanea
Resuming my creative process with a throwback to the 21st edition of the Techno parade, that took place in Paris in september 2019. These are only a few random street portraits and ambient shots that I fancy, but in the age of COVID, they’re also memories of a different time…
Currently trying to get back together after a long year 2020 that clearly wasn’t the most creative, for obvious reasons. To begin with, here’s a flashback to the last days of september, spent on the southern part of the french Atlantic coast, in Biarritz. This much necessary break happened in full compliance with local sanitary regulations and guidelines, social distancing, wearing a mask etc.
Shooting in a cultural centre opening its spaces to amateur performances.
Getting ready to open…
Of stone and lightMiscellanea
Photos taken during a visit of the Petit Palais, the Beaux-Arts museum of Paris. This jewel built in 1900 displays an eclectic collection, ranging from antiques to paintings and sculpture of the XIXth century.
Here is the Manufacture des Oeillets (eyelets), a cultural center in the southern suburbs of Paris. It includes a theatre, a contemporary art center and a graphic arts school.
A midsummer night’s dreamMiscellanea
The beginning of this month was the opportunity for me to venture in the backstage of a theatre play and to shoot their final run-through. Nothing less than a midsummer night’s dream by Shakespeare : a rather ambitious choice for a troupe of amateurs, but there’s nothing theatre cannot show with a hint of imagination.
A visit of the Enfant-Rouges market square.
Klimt in lightsMiscellanea
In April 2018, the Culturespace network created the Atelier des Lumières in Paris. This new digital art center was installed in the building of an old foundry that used to produce cast iron. The inaugural lightshow was themed around Klimt, actually encompassing the Vienna secession more broadly, in particular with pieces from Egon Schiele. These were presented together with original creations.
