Here are pictures of the Existe en Ciel circus solo, performed by acrobat, dancer and comedian Théo Touvet. The title of the show is a pun suggesting that something exists up in the sky, while sounding like the word “existential”.

The hoop symbolizes infinity, and the parallel created with the Foucault’s pendulum connects the spinning artist to the rotation of the planet. This was a truly intense moment, inviting to introspection with very simple means (and a lot of talent).
