On July 15th, the French football team (psst.. talking about soccer here) won the FIFA world cup in Russia, causing scenes of jubilation in the streets, throughout the country. These provided pretty good pictures.

Not everyone likes this sport or the questionable sides of its institutions, but it’s undeniable that it can cause joy and fraternal moments, however short-lived, like not many others.
